New Partnership between WSA and CISA

Given the exponential increase in cyber-crime worldwide, WSA is taking proactive steps to help our Members mitigate risk through awareness and action planning.

As recently as May 30th, you may have heard about the Ticketmaster hack that impacted over 560,000 customers across the globe: What to know about the purported theft of Ticketmaster customer data - CBS News

Within the Office Products Industry, recent attacks include the hack of Essendant, Staples, Xerox, Canon, Konica Minolta, and others.

To address these growing threats to our Members, we’re announcing a new strategic relationship between WSA and CISA, the “Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency” within DHS. As America’s Cyber Defense Agency, one of CISA’s core pillars is to assist the U.S. Industrial Base (that’s us) with guidance and tool kits to help us secure our systems, information, and supply chains.

COMING ATTRACTION!

To celebrate WSA’s pending status as one of CISA’s “Critical Infrastructure Partners”, WSA will be hosting a webinar later this summer to introduce CISA to our Members, and specifically to launch a new  3-Stage “Secure by Design” Program that will allow our Members to participate at a level which fits their needs.

Stage 1 - Introductory CISA Brief / Security 101 (to include FBI and the US Secret Service), and an overview of coming events.

Stage 2 – Joint Cyber Collaborative Group (including quarterly roundtable groups to discuss current high-profile topics and address collective concerns)

Stage 3 – Deep Dive into Action Planning (again, with proactive assistance from CISA)

Stay tuned, as we have a lot to share in the months ahead!
