Small Business Advocacy

The Workplace Solution Association (WSA, formerly IOPFDA) has championed independent dealers for 119 years. In a rapidly evolving business landscape, small businesses are more vital than ever, creating 64% of new jobs from 2005-2019, according to the Small Business Administration. WSA’s long standing advocacy efforts and dedicated lobbyist have built a recognized and respective voice on Capitol Hill.

As the issues facing independent dealers continue to grow, WSA continues its dedication to grassroots leadership that works tirelessly on behalf of independent dealers, ensuring members’ voices are heard and addressing critical issues that impact your bottom line.

Our Government Affairs Committee focuses on key issues:

  • Healthcare: Today, healthcare continues to be the number one bottom-line expense for small businesses. WSA supports Association Health Plans (AHP’s) to reduce small business healthcare costs by roughly 20%.
  • Anti-Trust: Addressing Big Tech's monopoly power, WSA monitors congressional investigations and supports potential legislation to rein in tech giants.
  • GSA Online Marketplace: Stay updated on legislative efforts to empower the Pentagon for E-Commerce use, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
  • Counterfeit Products: WSA tackles the rise of counterfeit products through rigorous monitoring and advocating for better product verification.
  • Legislative Fly-in: WSA, in conjunction with ISSA, the worldwide cleaning association, hosts the Workplace Solutions Summit, an annual fly-in event in Washington D.C.. WSA’s goal through this event is to ensure independent dealers have a direct impact on policymaking, offering a national platform for small businesses.

Join us in influencing policies, securing a brighter future for independent dealers nationwide.
